How did you get started in racing?
My father took me to a quarter midget race when I was four and asked me if I wanted to do it. I responded with “yes” and we left for Indianapolis after my fifth birthday. We got the car right from the factory and was invited to our first race which was the manufactures invitational.

You started racing at age 5 racing Quarter Midgets.Tell us how that was racing at a young age? What is a quarter midget is?
A quarter midget is a ¼ scale replica of the full size midget.  Racing at the age of five was an exhilarating feeling of fun, I could drive a race car before I could ride a bike without training wheels.

Then you moved to legend cars. How much of a change was that?
Moving from quarter midgets to Legends cars was a big transformation for me. I was not used to driving something that quick and it was my first time racing on asphalt. It took me some time to get used to how the car responded and how far I could push it, but with time it came.

What division do you race in and what tracks do you race at?
I race in the ARCA Series presented by Menards. So far the only track I have run at has been Daytona Int. Speedway.

You just raced at Daytona in the ARCA race. What did it feel like the first time you went out on the track?
My first time out on the track was a rush of mixed emotions between excitement, thrill, nervousness, and honor. The excitement was from having the opportunity and to have gotten as far as I have, the thrill of the speed and different forces that acted on me. I was nervousness at first because I did not want to upset the car and find myself into the wall but that went away after a few laps. I felt honored to have the privilege to drive on such a historic and well-respected racetrack.

How did you do in the race?
I started 20th at the beginning of the race and within a few laps moved up to 10th. On lap 13 there was a pile up of cars forming off of four, I was able to avoid the initial accident but was blind sided by a wrecked car after trying to use pit lane to avoid the entire crash. The impact of the other car destroyed my battery and left me out of the remainder of race.

What are your plans in 2014?
My plans for 2014 all revolve around obtaining sponsorships.

Is there any race that sticks in your mind from the past, and why?
Daytona Int. Speedway because it was the first track I ran at that brought me one step closer to my dream.

Who are some your favorite drivers to race against?
My favorite drivers to race against are Bobby Gerhart and Frank Kimmel. They both have vast experience in the sport and also have years of experience.

When you are not racing what do you do for fun?
When I’m not racing I like to spend my time hunting, snowboarding, fishing, play the drums, and anything outdoors.

Did you play any sports when you were growing up?
When I was growing up I played a variety of sports that ranged from football, baseball, powerlifting, wrestling, also track and field.

Whats the weirdest thing a fan has asked you to sign?
The weirdest thing I was probably asked to sign was a restaurant menu and an arm.

Is there anybody you would like to thank?
I would like to thank Bobby Gerhart for helping me through this transition in my racing career, my dad and his girlfriend for all their hard, my family for their support, Your Office Connections, Girlfriends Boutique, Rugged Radios, Legion Post 353.
