How did you get started in racing? When I was 5 years old I made my first start in an asphalt road-course gokart. After multiple track and state championships I made my first start in an ASA Pro Truck at age 13 which started my stock car racing career.
What division do you race in and what tracks do you race at? This year I raced full time in the Rocky Mountain Challenge series in a Super Late Model. RMCS travels to Rocky Mountain Raceway (SLC, Utah), Meridian Speedway (Meridian, Idaho) and Magic Valley Speedway (Twin Falls, Idaho). I also raced full time in the ASA Pro Trucks which traveled to Meridian Speedway, Rocky Mountain Raceway, Magic Valley Speedway, Pocatello Raceway (Pocatello, Idaho),
Is there any race that sticks in your mind from the past, and why? One of the first ones was winning the first race of the season, and my first stock car race, in 2012 making me the Youngest Female to Win a Whelen All American race. Then, shortly after, I made my K&N West Debut at Albuquerque, NM Napa Speedway. I finished 6th place breaking the record of the youngest female to start in K&N West and tying for the highest finish for a female in K&N West.
Tell us about your team and some of the people that help you. The crews at Thompson motorsports are one of a kind! They have been absolutely amazing to me and always make sure I have a car that’s prepared for that weekend’s race! One of my crew members has been with me since day 1. Brian Helm actually started on my dad’s crew before I was born and when it was my time, he joined my crew and has stuck with me ever since! My dad also has been there every step of the way whether it is crew cheifing, spotting, or just making sure my seat belts are tight.
If you could switch rides with any driver in any type of racing which one would it be? Well, Jimmie Johnson seems to not only have the equipment, but also the ability to keep on raking in the wins! He would definitely be one I wouldn’t mind trading rides. On the other hand, I would also love to try and temporarily swap rides with a World of Outlaws driver! Ii have never driven the sprints or on dirt like that and that would be an unbelievable experience!
So how was your 2013 season and what are your plans for next year? The 2013 season I feel was successful and a I gained a lot of experience from it! I earned the 2013 Rookie of the Year and 4thin points in the RMCS and barely missed the championship in the ASA Pro trucks bringing home a 2nd! I also got experience on my first mile track (Pikes Peak International Raceway) where I debuted in the Spears SRL Southwest tour and finished 11th! I was also re-invited back to NASCAR’s Drive for Diversity program to compete for a spot on the elite team Rev Racing.
Tell us something about you that would surprise your fans. I’m not sure if this is surprising or not, more than anything probably just weird. Idaho is known for its famous potatoes and even though I was born and raised here, I cannot stand potatoes. Another thing that might surprise fans is that when I was 9 months old I 3rd degree burnt my left hand on a glass insert fire place. I’ve had over 5 skin graphs and 8 surgeries since then and I still continue to have them! Luckily I have full use of my hand and I don’t let it slow me down one bit!
When you are not racing what do you do for fun? Well, I don’t know if you would call it fun, but I’m currently a senior at Twin Falls High school. That keeps me busy along with the part time job of working at the shop and being a hostess at a local bar and bistro called The Anchor. In the minimal amount of time I have in between all that, I enjoy riding dirt bikes, boating, art, and riding horses!

Is there anybody you would like to thank? I would most definitely like to thank Thompson motorsports for bringing me as far as they have in the world of stock car racing! Also, my parents, family, and friends for being so supportive in this difficult career choice I chose to pursue! Of course there are all my sponsors such and RTTI, Mr. Gas, The Car Store, United Oil, ESPN: The Zone, Kidd Performance, and the many more than have helped me out! Last but definitely not least are all of the fans! They are the reason we love doing what we do! We race for not only the enjoyment ourselves, but to create a great show and atmosphere for the people who constantly support us!
